Woodbury, CT - Woodbury’s The Farm announced that they will participate in the Woodbury Fall Fest 2: Meander on Main Street on October 2, and the Annual Connecticut Garlic Festival at the Bethlehem Fairgrounds on October 8 and 9.

“As a local business, it’s important to support town events,” said The Farm’s Michael Berecz of the Fall Fest. “Response at last year’s Fall Fest was terrific, and we had a lot of fun as well.” Once again, Carole Peck, of Carole Peck’s Good News Café, will team up with The Farm and provide samples of a soup made with The Farm’s produce. This year, she’ll offer samples of Butternut Tagine, which she’ll also demonstrate how to make on her September 26 appearance on WFSB’s “Better Connecticut”.

Berecz says they will have their full line of syrups, sauces, and salsas for sale at the Fall Fest, along with fresh seasonal produce and their own maple cotton candy. Attendees will also be able to purchase their shares in The Farm’s 2016 Winter and 2017 Summer CSA programs.

The Farm will provide photo opportunities with “vegetables” and farm cutouts. “It’s a great family event, and we’re glad we’re going to be participating.”

This year will be the first time The Farm will take part in the Connecticut Garlic Festival. “We started growing garlic a few years ago, and we are now producing enough to bring it to the fair,” explained Berecz. Besides garlic, The Farm will offer fresh seasonal vegetables and their own jarred products for sale.

A twenty-year family-owned diversified agricultural company located in North Woodbury, The Farm has shifted from selling to just wholesalers and restaurants to customer-based sales through farmer’s markets, their farm stand, and their CSA programs. In 2014, they launched their “Honestly Heirloom” brand of prepared sauces and salsas, along with a line of spices and seasoning mixes.
